What does my typical day look like?
Currently I am in charge of designing future finance systems for Engineering, Capital and material. So I am in a lot of meetings gathering ideas, pain points and creating world class systems based off of ideas generated in these meetings.
What’s been my most exciting project to date?
Here at Grand Rapids, I work with an exceptional group of people - from manufacturing to engineering, everyone is very good at what they do and it’s a great feeling to be able to come to work and be surrounded by so many talented people.
What’s the most unexpected skill I’ve gained at General Motors?
I have gained the skill of patience. As odd as it sounds, with the development of systems you have to have patience while listening to ideas and complaints to create a successful tool.
What opportunities at General Motors have boosted my career growth?
I feel all of my 10 roles in the past 20 years has aided in my career growth. My willingness and desire to rotate in and out of jobs within two years has helped my versatility as well as networking with others in the company.
