What’s the best part about life at GM?

The people. Working with a diverse and eclectic array of people makes the work we do at GM the best in the industry. You have a diversification of thought, expertise and problem solving that culminates in a unified effort for everyone to be and do their best for our customers.

What does my day look like?

My day is a host of meetings—interactions with product engineering to ensure that we have the best designs and manufacturability of our future products, so that we can achieve our highest quality for our customers and execute flawless launches in our manufacturing sites.

How has General Motors allowed me to be more than an engineer?

General Motors has given me the avenues to reach the next generation of engineers. I’ve been a part of University Relations teams (Tennessee State University) and key organization teams (e.g. NSBE, BEYA, Women of Color, etc.) that reach out and recruit the next generation of talent. Through A World in Motion (AWIM), I’ve been able to be in classrooms and help plant the seed of Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) in primary and secondary students.
