GM Employee Spotlight - Nico

Nico

What’s the best part about life at GM?

The people and the support. Our leaders are super accessible. (I had a one hour 1-on-1 with CFO Chuck Stevens in my very first year!)

What’s been my most exciting project to date?

Definitely the launch of OnStar in Europe. The business was starting from scratch, and I had the wonderful opportunity to own the whole business case. The exposure was great. I frequently collaborated with the operation side and had multiple interactions with the VP of the group.

What’s the most unexpected skill I’ve gained at General Motors?

The ability to switch teams and work environments every year (because of the rotation system in TRACK). Think “Quantum Leap”—you’re now in the skin of a new person, and you need to quickly adapt to the environment, understand the new challenges and fix them.
