This annual benchmarking program honors GM’s Center of Learning as one of the best organizations for learning and development ...
GM’s Center of Learning organization is responsible for the development and delivery of training to over 150,000 U.S. dealer and field personnel and was recently recognized as a LearningElite Gold Award recipient from Chief Learning Officer, a division of the BetterWork Media Group.
There was a lot of strong competition contending for this award, which makes the accomplishment all the more impressive.
“I’ve always known we have an elite team of training professionals who are fully engaged in helping people succeed in their chosen careers. It’s great to have our work validated and to be recognized by our global learning peers,” said Sally Vlietstra, Senior Manager of the Center of Learning team.
LearningElite Gold recipients were evaluated across five dimensions; Learning Strategy, Leadership Commitment, Learning Execution, Learning Impact, and Business Performance Results. Gold award recipients performed at or near pinnacle performance in the dimensions. The Center Of Learning submission included its strategic planning and collaboration, Product Knowledge Roadmaps, Sales Manager Curriculum, 2021’s Professional Development Days (PDD) and various Product Launches for evaluation against the award criteria. This award is a culmination of how the Center of Learning, along with their agency and business partners work together as a high-performing learning team that is dedicated toward achieving their underlying goals.
The Chief Learning Officer organization has a reputation of credibility and relevance in the global learning industry. They provide valuable resources to support workplace topics, trends and challenges faced by business leaders each day. Their content is aimed to help organizations compete more effectively by reaching the full potential of their workforce.
