AD Lead Validation Engineer

  • Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for the development and execution of robust validation methods that comprehend compute and its system requirements and functionalities
  • Leads defining validation criteria and methods for compute and its system definition and functionality to meet performance requirements
  • Execute validation procedures on both bench and vehicle properties.
  • Analyze and interpret test data against pass/fail criteria
  • Write PRTS for issues found during the results review. Ensure proper closure of issues.
  • Responsible to work with, and coordinate validation activities across multiple teams as required by features/system.
  • Single point contact for validation to connect to subsystem/component development teams.
  • Collaborate with System Engineers in defining requirements and interface across domains
  • Leverage Global TIEs in the development of validation methodology and procedures for system requirements
  • Ensure optimized hardware plans in support of program-level LADV plans for system-level validation.
  • Participate in feature/system technical reviews as appropriate.
  • Mentor Validation engineers to grow organizational capability
  • Travel as needed
  • Requirements:

  • BS in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering/Computer Science
  • 3+ years experience in vehicle component HW/SW and subsystem validation
  • Understanding of component/feature/systems requirements and the ability to translate the requirements into validation test procedures and use cases.
  • Knowledge of calibration, vehicle development and active safety area
  • Understanding of engineering theory and principles of operation of electrical and computer engineering
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others
  • Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area
  • High level analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English

  • Desired Skills:

  • 5+ years experience in Active Safety feature validation
  • Master in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering / Computer Science
  • Automotive safety critical electronics experience
  • Vehicle performance integration experience
  • Understanding of the use of complex vehicle instrumentation and data logging
  • Understanding of vehicle communications protocols such as CAN and Ethernet
  • Knowledge of Vehicle Spy, MicroAutobox, ETAS INCA
  • Understanding of the capability of HIL test methods
  • DFSS Certification
