General Motors Israel (Herzliya) takes a significant part in shaping the autonomous vehicle. We impact the future vehicles in diverse fields by developing cutting edge technologies. Within GM Israel, over 700 people working in an hybrid flexible mode on one of the most exciting challenges of our days.
SDV – ‘ Software Defined Vehicle’ is a new group that is developing vehicle intelligence platform whose features and functions are primarily enabled through software. This is a significant part of the ongoing transformation of vehicles from being mainly hardware-based to a software-centric electronic device on wheels. The SDV teams are supporting the definition, design, and development of continuously improving mobility service.
The Simulation and SW Validation Group develops, integrates and deploys simulation and testing capabilities, interfacing with the Ultra Cruise autonomous driving (UC) SW stack, for both Software and Hardware-in-the-loop setups (SiL, HiL). Simulation is at the heart of UC development, testing, and validation. The ability to simulate the complex environment the vehicle will encounter, running simulations at scale, and making sure simulations have high fidelity compared to the real world are all critical throughout the UC product lifecycle. Simulated scenarios drive the UC development, while metrics are used as KPIs for tracking compliance to system and safety requirements. All these come together as part of our testing framework, which automates complex simulations and open-loop tests and is tightly integrated into our project’s CI/CD pipelines.
As our systems increase in maturity and transition to production pipelines, the need increases for a team responsible for integration and release management of the Ultra Cruise SW package.
We are looking for a Software Integration Engineer with high technical expertise and passion to work in a group.
