Description

Remote:  This position does not require employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee’s role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basis with 40% travel.

You will be responsible for residential energy product sales with particular focus on large B2B opportunities (e.g. land development projects). You will examine current sales strategies and develop and implement new strategies to improve upon current results and/or to meet new goals. You will work closely with the strategy team to developing sales and marketing strategies, align team & leadership on new strategies, and help to deliver customer & leadership presentations

Dimension of the Role:
The Sales Lead will be a high-energy, creative thinker that is interested in the cutting edge of the energy industry. The successful candidate will have experience in B2B sales and relationship management. Works closely with Product Owner(s) to define the best commercial approach across relevant markets and business segments. The Sales Lead will also interface with internal stakeholders such as Purchasing, Marketing, Strategy, Legal, and Privacy teams to align corporate processes to deliver the ideal customer experience. Liaise transversally with other global and/or local partners (incl. solar companies, public utilities, other auto OEMs…) to develop growth activities. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a list of named accounts

  • Develop sales strategy and business plan for named accounts

  • Establish relationships with key executives in named accounts

  • Develop qualified sales opportunities in named accounts

  • Creating proposal and contract templates

  • Leverage strategic sales methodology to advance qualified sales opportunities to signed contracts in order to achieve bookings target

  • Actively manage sales pipeline and maintain accurate sales forecast

  • Collaborate with marketing org drive sales and brand recognition

  • Provide continuous feedback to product & engineering teams to drive product enhancements

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision

  • Excellent writing & presentation skills, communicating effectively with others in different time zones and of different backgrounds

  • Proven track record of consistent sales quota attainment

  • Travel required. Must be able to travel up to 75% within the United States and Canada

  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment

  • Ability to influence and gain buy-in from skeptics

  • Experience in Energy industry is a plus

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
