Our team is looking for a hard-working individual who enjoys taking on challenges and following through with robust solutions to join our Engine Calibration team!

Propulsion System Interface Calibration Engineers are integrally involved in the development of calibrations which support integration of engine control functions and diagnostics within a vehicle system. They support the lead calibrator and diagnostic strategist, as well as other diverse teams including the members of the vehicle platform, manufacturing plant and quality teams. A calibrator will work on multiple vehicle programs with a focus on configurations and engine / vehicle interfaces. This is a meaningful role that ensures a seamless integration of the powertrain into the vehicle!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and release calibrations in the Engine Control Module for multiple functional areas including vehicle speed, fuel gauge, serial data (CAN and LIN) stop/start vehicle grade, and diagnostics and more.

  • Develop and release calibrations in the Transmission Control Module for CAN communications

  • Handle calibration data sets on multiple vehicle programs, following all standard work.

  • Review and compare calibration data sets for all calibration releases to ensure accuracy and consistency

  • Collect and analyze empirical data.

  • Provide support to other engineers for root cause analysis

  • Design Tests to efficiently find opportunities for performance improvements

  • Identify and document calibration vulnerabilities and build mitigation action plans; track corrective actions

Additional Description

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related Engineering degree

  • Minimum of 2 years of technical and/or engineering experience

  • Experience with data acquisition and analysis on complex problems

  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical system architectures, serial data, and tools

  • Understanding of engineering theory and principles of operation of mechanical/electrical mechanisms

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple datasets and configurations

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate test vehicles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters of Science in Engineering

  • 2 years of Engine Calibration experience

  • Experience with in-vehicle testing, including troubleshooting experience with electrical systems

  • Experience INCA/ETAS data acquisition

  • Experience using NeoVI/Vehicle Spy and other serial data tools
