Description

This role will be regarded as an entry level operations position to assist in special projects and continuous improvement activities which will develop an understanding in project management, warehousing principles, standardised work documentation creation and maintenance as well as implementing GMS Principles. This will also involve mangement of occupational health and safety in the workplace, interaction with people, communication skills, analytical skills.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Participating in tasks for project coordination for continuous improvement solutions/ initiatives including CAD layout updates

  • Communicating and engaging different levels in the organization where there is a process change they are responsible for managing

  • Understand and promote Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) principles, including maintaing the Business Plan Deployment boards.

  • Assist in highlighting and addressing occupational health and safety issues as they arise in projects responsible for managing as well as reporting

  • Assist with the development and implement standard operating procedures and ensure they are adhered to for standard work processes, taking steps to modify them where necessary

  • Creating simple data reports for operations under instruction of the Operations Manager

  • Verifying system generated daily reporting jobs are run and sent to recipients

  • Assist in maintaining operating work queues to ensure they are cleared timely

  • Assist with manpower and labour planning

Additional Description

About you

Studying a Bachelor's degree in Logistics and /or Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Engineering and have at least two semesters of study remaining.
