Our team – GMV A is a new team (growing fast!) responsible for developing a deeply integrated vehicle virtual assistant for millions of GM production cars.
Our target is enabling users to perform any action they want just by talking to the car.
Our solution is platform-oriented, aimed to be used in further environments (not just the car) and it involves utilizing advanced AI algorithms (ML/DL).
The team is located in Herzliya.
We are looking for an Android Tech Lead to join the founding team and start developing our solution from scratch.
This opportunity suits a person who would like to help us shape the future of the team, growing it from a small startup to a production organization and who is interested in growing into a team leader further down the road (not that further...).
What will you do?
Design, implement, test and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Kotlin/Java for Android code
Integrate and work with AI/ML/DL SDK and libraries
Create and maintain clear and complete design level documentation
Coordinate and participate in architecture, requirements, design, code, and test case reviews
Work closely with others to support, triage and resolve defects
What are we looking for?
B.Sc. in computer science or a similar field
Over 5 years’ experience of software development
Experience in Android environments
Proficient with Kotlin/Java
It's an advantage if you have:
Experience working with Android Automotive
Over 3 years' experience in leading development teams
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, Git
Familiarity with the automotive industry
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
