Onsite: This position requires an employee to be on-site on a full-time basis.

To strengthen our team, we are seeking Simulator Operators to work within our motorsports program. You will be responsible for operating simulator equipment and working with race teams to effectively use the simulator tools. Effective communication skills and attention to safety will be key as you will work with a variety of customers and partners both internal and external to GM.

What you will do:

  • Facilitate operation of simulator for race teams

  • Rapid troubleshooting and problem solving to keep sessions running efficiently

  • Work with different teams to help them effectively use simulator time in preparation for upcoming competition events

  • Maintain area workplace organization standards

  • Take part in continuous improvement activities and participate in the problem resolution process

  • Participate in cross training initiatives for Tech Center Operations

  • Constantly improve the workspace, administration, and operations environment

Additional Description

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Windows OS

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Self-reliant problem solver with demonstrated experience going above and beyond in an electro-mechanical work environment

  • Ability to multitask in a highly flexible environment and adjust quickly to constantly evolving goals

  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineers and work in a team environment

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact well with others

  • Must be a great teammate, be able to work a flexible schedule and have a high level of integrity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in an Engineering or Technology related field

  • 2+ years of professional experience

  • Solid understanding of computer-controlled hardware and instrumentation

  • Experience in Motorsports
