The exponential growth of electric vehicles and connected technologies has increased market interest in products that move goods/services ecommerce while reducing the carbon footprint.

With this in mind, GM has established a new independent business, BrightDrop, to provide an innovative approach to enable the efficient, multimodal movement of goods through an integrated, electric and connected product suite. 

As a part of the BrightDrop Commercial Team you will assist BrightDrop sales team in their success.  This position will work alongside, but separately from the BrightDrop enterpirse sales team.  The BrightDrop Sales Enablement Manager will structure, oversee and manage the required, product specification requirements and transactions to achieve financial and sales objectives. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, exhibit strong interpersonal & leadership skills, as well as having the ability to multitask to drive results.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build and Manage BrightDrop relationship with Upfitters/Specialty Vehicle Manufacturers to enable customer purchases of customized BrightDrop products
  • Develop awareness and expertise of all upfitter companies in BrightDrop approved markets of sale
  • Onboard new upfitters at customer request, including facilitating studies in coordination with Sales Team, Logistics and Finance
  • Coordinate new upfitter entry into Vehicle Order Guide with Product Marketing manager
  • Manage Qualified Production Agreement standard language in collaboration with Legal for each model year
  • Create & Maintain BrightDrop-specific upfitter info documents and processes
  • Work with Product Marketing on feature-based, subject matter expert, presentation materials
  • Collaborate with Public Policy and others to ensure BrightDrop products are qualified for Appropriate Federal and State/Provincial EV incentives for Electric vehicles.
  • Work with GM Upfitter integration & GM Specialty Vehicle Manufacturer Team as required
  • Monitor performance of BrightDrop ship-through locations
  • Attend “Customer Pilot” reviews with, or on behalf of the enterprise sales team to ensure success
  • Attend and actively participate in industry meetings, sales events and training to keep abreast of the latest developments as appropriate
  • Develop strong relationships at all levels with BrightDrop Commercial Team
  • Work cross-functionally to streamline and improve productivity, implement change, and enhance sales and profitability for the BrightDrop product portfolio
  • Recruit, hire and lead/evaluate/coach team members as approved.

Additional Description

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of commercial sales and account management experience
  • Able to manage multiple projects and prioritize accordingly  
  • This assignment involves a high level partnering and independent judgment, decision-making, accuracy and integrity
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to teamwork
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (effective communications up/down/across the organization)
  • Strong business acumen and data analysis skills
  • Project management skills - action oriented, works towards deadlines, manages team deliverables, with a sense of ownership and urgency
  • Willing to make a recommendation, even if unpopular, and support with logic and facts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Must be able to travel as required for meetings/conferences/events

  • Interest in and experience with Electric Vehicles and/or new technologies
