Hybrid: This is a Hybrid position within our IT Organization. The role will allow employees to work offsite but will also require onsite work based on business needs. The employee will be expected to commute to the innovation center to which they are assigned as their primary GM facility. This position requires an employee to be onsite with average of 3 days per week.
About the Innovation Excellence team at General Motors:
Technology Innovation Excellence (TIE) teams are responsible for conceptualizing, incubating, and delivering new technology improvements for General Motors and our partners! We integrate with business and information technology teams improving the developer experience, promoting software engineering best practices, and developing on the best cloud platforms available (private, hybrid, and public). TIE drives the strategy for IT processes and works closely with ETS defining the best tools. Our team includes best-in-industry engineers, architects, and IT professionals who have an ambition to move at lightning speed and deliver outstanding solutions through high-quality, innovative software that drives value for our customers!
About the Role:
This role will work closely with methodology Strategy Lead to support the creation of the new processes and technical tool requirements as defined by the team. The analyst will collaborate with TIE team developers, technical and business SME's to bring together and define the new processes and tools. The responsibilities will include but limited to:

Build process flows for new methodologies and tools

Build detailed procedures and documentation

Bring together requirements from process owner, technology leads and SMEs

Facilitate work sessions with domain authority driving innovation and new processes

Participate in technology pilots by crafting objectives, use cases, assessment criteria

Clearly communicate to define the gaps and solutions to support new processes and tools

Assist in prioritizing the adoption of new technologies

Support Tools Team in defining the order of execution and backlog opportunities

Join and contribute to the Methodology and Tools council for their respective areas
This individual will work side-by-side with strategy leads to elicit solutions, document deliverables, analyze and evaluate solutions options, document process flows and support strategy development. To be successful, we must be service oriented able to clearly define and communicate business needs while understanding technical requirements, and personally driven to improve the business.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or equivalent work experience in Development or IT Execution and Delivery

Experience and general knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure Dev Ops), CI/CD, and software development process

Experience in Agile, development methodologies, and User Acceptance Testing

Experienced in gathering, documenting, and translating requirements to technical teams

Knowledge and Understanding of Business Process fundamentals, including requirements elicitation, multi-functional teamwork, effective and timely communications, and problem-solving skills

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and analytical capability
-
Skilled in planning, arbitration, facilitation, and time management

Ability to multi-task and balance multiple initiatives without direct supervision.

Solid grasp of Microsoft Office using PowerPoint and Visio
Preferred Qualifications:

Deep domain and business process knowledge with multi-industry experience preferred

Familiarity with GM IT tools such as PPM, Galileo, Azure Dev Ops (ADO), etc.
