Description
This is a Hybrid position within our GM Energy Organization. The role will allow employees to work offsite but will also require onsite work based on business needs. The selected candidate will be expected to commute to the innovation center to which they are assigned as their primary GM facility. This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-3 times per week.
About the team:
GM Energy is reimaging the electric ecosystem. We’re designing integrated energy solutions that will change energy as we know it. With the power of Ultium technology, we’re introducing a network of charging stations, dedicated back-up home power and a suite of new products to help create a more resilient grid. Our new product lines (Ultium Home and Ultium Commercial) will provide cohesive energy management at the home, commercial and community level. As we build out this new business, we are harnessing the power of the extended General Motors community as well as introducing new partnerships, processes, and technologies. As a start-up organization we are looking for an entrepreneurial spirit who can “hit-the-ground-running”.
For this role you will expected to have demonstrated success in software project delivery experience in leading technical efforts developing applications using a variety of tools, languages, frameworks and technologies.
Major duties will include:
- Design Business Model for Energy Command Center
- Lead the digital solutions of Energy Command Center
- Lead and achieve cyber secure to industry standards
- Supporting the development of Energy CRM and associated interfaces
To be successful in this position you should have the ability to:
- Focus on design assessment/improvement
- Aggressively engage in the identification/ remediation of software issues related to code or solutions quality, security, and/or pattern/ frameworks and software usability or end user related issues
- Document and make recommendations
- Utilize your technical writing knowledge around system design specification and user documentation of software systems and ensure that technical documentation meets GM standards
- Understand and maintain compliance with GM standards and industry standard methodology
- Hold yourself and others accountable for demonstrating GMs values and cultural behaviors
- Model GM behaviors and builds a winning culture
Additional Description
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in Energy Domain
- 5+ years experience in Digital Technology
- 5+ years experience in Energy Control or Command Centers
- Electrification & Utility Industry experience
- Knowledge of Energy Control/ Command Centers
- Knowledge of CRM systems and processes
- Excellent understanding of software development best practices
- Experience working in an agile environment
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
- CX and UI experience
- Experience with CRM or CIS solutions
- Experience with call /command center software, marketing, sales, billing, CIS, ERP and/or CRM systems such as Adobe, Salesforce.com, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Zuora, SAP, OSIsoft
- 7 years of professional software development experience
- BS or higher in technology or energy
- Business start-up experience / mentality
