About The Role
As a Victorian based Southern Regional Manager (VIC/SA) with General Motors Specialty Vehicles (GMSV), you’ll be joining the broader General Motors Australia & New Zealand (GM ANZ) team. Your purpose is to achieve GMSV’s volume and market share targets in both the retail and wholesale sides of the business. While developing a strong and active business partnership with the dealer network that embraces GM’s One Team priority. You will also work to improve customer retention at GMSV dealerships and win customers for life and work together with the networking team to ensure GMSV has an industry leading dealer network.
As a Southern Regional Manager with GMSV for Victoria and South Australia you will work closely with the team to achieve targets and create an industry leading dealer network. Your responsibilities will include:

Ability to develop sales and marketing strategies to ensure the attainment of monthly, quarterly and annual vehicle and accessories volume targets.

Ability to travel interstate will be required to support assigned Dealers, and to attend events and meetings within Australia.

Work with dealers to:
-
develop sales lead generation plans with the view to achieve sales objectives.

develop customer loyalty generation plans with the view to achieve GMSV’s guiding principles.

identify key events in their local area, to attend and promote the dealership/GMSV brand.

Ensure wholesale target is achieved through the completion of inventory allotments for all dealers.

Work with and support Distribution to achieve wholesale requirements for the region and assist Dealer’s with queries raised.

By Dealer, review performance vs objectives and adjust local area marketing plans accordingly to ensure any gaps to targets are minimised or closed.

Actively monitor and manage the performance of each dealer against key KPIs and develop recovery plans for dealers as required.

Maintain regular contact and communication with dealers in the region, ensuring all dealers are fully abreast of all current issues and programs.

Collaborate with HQ teams to facilitate and implement all strategies impacting the dealer network. Including identifying and supporting all activities to ensure a profitable and viable dealer network within the region.

Ensure GMSV policies and procedures are implemented and followed to the expected level.

Improve customer retention by ensuring that dealers embrace a culture that provides a customer experience and level of service that engenders customer loyalty towards the GMSV brand as measured through purchase experience (PE), service experience (SE) and other key KPIs.

Provide the GM of marketing and communications with local press and media support, including the management of local press vehicles as well as supporting local marketing activations.
About you
You’re experienced in zone or region vehicle sales and/or aftersales operations with at least 5 years’ experience. You have a passion for creating and building strong relationships with dealer networks while achieving volume and market share targets. You show leadership, negotiation and presentation skills, while also having an in-depth understanding of vehicle distribution policies and procedures. Education: Tertiary qualifications, preferably in a business-related discipline are considered highly desirable, for example, commerce or marketing. As well as completion of an advanced management course would be advantage.
