General Motors (GM) has an opening for a Billing Systems and Reporting Analyst as it defines the future of mobility and continues to innovate on its connected vehicle strategy to become the most customer-centric automaker.

As part of OnStar Finance’s Billing and Reporting team, you will be a key member of the cross-functional team executing General Motors’ Connected Vehicle and Subscription strategies. The Billing and Reporting team defines, tests, supports and provides reports from our global OnStar billing/finance solutions to ensure quality experiences within the customer billing journey. We work diligently to ensure that quality data is provided to our Finance stakeholders so that OnStar can maximize its subscription revenue and EBIT opportunities in North America, Europe, South America and beyond. Phases within the customer billing journey include Subscription Management (e.g., Purchasing, Cancelling, Trials, etc.), Payment Processing, and several others. The most recently supported programs and projects include ET Simple Purchase, 2G Sunset and the OnStar Guardian App launch, Super Cruise launch, and OnStar expansions into new markets in South America and the Middle East. Job Responsibilities

  • Acts as an internal consultant for cross-functional programs across the organization, providing guidance on Billing, Payment, Accounting and Reporting practices
  • Defines reporting requirements and writes SQL reports for our global OnStar Finance, Accounting, and Tax organizations across numerous operations and reporting systems
  • Drives and supports Month-End deliverables, such as report distributions and reconciliations
  • Configures and maintains automated reporting systems (e.g. Cognos, PowerBI)
  • Designs and implements controls/monitors to quickly identify system defects and operational performance concerns
  • Uses various techniques and software (SQL, Excel, etc.) to triage, quantify, and reconcile system and customer experience issues
  • Supports ad-hoc and special project analysis, as needed, such as new business development data or tax/compliance audit reports
  • Manages the planning, execution, and communication of User Acceptance Testing for the call center, accounting, tax, and finance stakeholders

Additional Description


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, or Accounting
  • 2 to 5 years relevant experience
  • SQL Querying and Report authoring experience preferred
  • Ability to think critically and methodically to solve complex problems within a cross-functional team
  • Zuora Cloud Billing, or other billing/accounting system experience a plus
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office software
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to align with department and program initiatives


  • The expected base compensation for this role is $72,435 - $115,709. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on the factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus potential: an incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level and individual performance.
