The Security team at BrightDrop ensures the security of our products and services and are the domain experts for our engineering and IT teams to protect our customers’ data in today’s dynamic threat landscape. We are a team of highly skilled security engineers that specialize in security research, penetration testing security architecture, risk and compliance. We evaluate a broad range of technologies including complex web applications, IoT platforms, distributed processing, Cloud environments and isolation of entrusted code.
As a Senior SOC Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security monitoring and altering platform. Work closely with engineering and IT teams to implement security monitoring use cases and take lead to investigate security incidents.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintain, implement, and own various security logging and monitoring tools and dashboards in SaaS environment
- Detect, defend, and respond to threats.
- Be a vital part of our vulnerability management program ensuring we're monitoring and mitigating known vulnerabilities which pose a risk to our application
- Draft communications around observed threats and potentially identified exposures to engineering, IT and security leadership
- Foster relationships with Engineering and IT teams to ensure we are monitoring our application and infrastructure effectively
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures
- Participate in Compliance Audit
- Implement Security Orchestration Automation and Response (SOAR) Tools and Solutions
Basic Qualifications:
- Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or EE is required
- 6+ years of experience in Security Operations Center
- 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing SIEM platform
- Experience building systems or tooling to secure and monitor cloud environments ranging from build pipelines to cloud deployment to client/server communication
- Experience in SIEM and SOAR
- Experience in Advanced information security threat and analysis skills
- Experience with MITRE or other attack frameworks
- Deep understanding of the modern and evolving cyber threat landscape
- Experience in incident response lifecycle
- Experience in vulnerability risk management.
- Strong skills in at least one scripting language (Python or equivalent)
- Proficient in coding in any programming language.
- At least 1 year of Azure Cloud experience
The expected base compensation for this role is: ($132,330 - $197,910 USD Annual). Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
