The Service Parts Engineering Specialist is responsible to assist GMPI Business Units with service parts release and electronic parts catalog processes, issues and enhancements.

This position requires involvement in the following key areas:

•Service Parts Release Process Support and Issue Resolution.
–Support & assist Service Parts Engineering, Specifications and Legends workgroups & users with various parts engineering activities in the GM service parts release system.
•Electronic Parts Catalog Support & Issue Resolution
–Perform planning activities for availability & translation of parts catalog for on-time delivery prior to vehicle launch.
–Determine illustration needs and coordinate shared usage among Business Units.
–Provide Training and support to users
•Manage Access Control & Provide System Improvement Support
–Support system enhancements
–User ID Management
–Generate and Support Service Requests
•Lead & Participate in User Acceptance Testing of the electronic parts catalogue enhancements with the Business Units.

Basic Qualifications

•Fluency (spoken and written) in English and Chinese
•University Degree in Engineering and/or Automotive
•Strong understanding of information databases & computer literate
•Knowledge and understanding of service parts and vehicle applications
•Familiarity of GM engineering standards, processes and terms a plus
•Excellent communication, presentation and training delivery skills
•Strong interpersonal skills required to develop internal & external relationships
•Capable/comfortable working with multi-national professionals
•Experience with mainframe application environment is a plus
•Able to work in a detailed-data environment and perform considerable data analysis
•Preference of working in a detailed-data environment while performing considerable data analysis

Preferred Skills & Experiences:

•A minimum of 5-years’ experience in Automotive Aftersales Engineering, Product Engineering parts release/specification, Material Control, or related experience.
