BrightDrop is seeking a Data Manager to improve our ability to develop data-powered products for our customers. This role will advance our understanding of some of our most valuable data sources (e.g., vehicle telematics data), empower teams within Product and Engineering to be proficient consumers of data, and onboard new data sources to support emerging data needs.
The ideal candidate excels in data analysis and visualization, can organize complex information for consumption by a range of audiences, and communicates effectively with stakeholders in Product and Engineering. A bias for action and a self-starter mindset is important in BrightDrop’s fast-paced and fluid environment.
The Data Manager will be part of the Product organization and will require some collaboration and communication skills that overlap with product managers, potentially making this role interesting for aspiring PMs.

High attention to detail to spot data issues or miscommunications between teams
Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills as other teams will be relying on your work and you will be a primary resource for data-related questions
Independence and bias for action, needed to help us “Operate with Velocity” even in an ambiguous environment
