The EV Thermal Test Automation Co-op student will be given the opportunity to engage in the development of thermal systems for EV vehicles in the area of Electrification Thermal testing and automation. These areas include development of automated pipelines, automated test cases in a fully virtual development environment! The student will work with a diverse team of engineers to support the development of new systems related to EV thermal controls and diagnostic as well as be an agile developer on a scrum team.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Software Developers to develop comprehensive test plans aligned to customer requirements and specifications

Support the development of new automation pipelines
-
Develop python scripts for test cases automation
-
Support the integration and development of new thermal solutions
-
Participate in the day-to-day engineering activities in order to gain an understanding of the vehicle development process

Participate in an Agile SAFe scrum team
Additional Description
Required Qualifications:
-
Pursuit of a Bachelor's (3rd and 4th year students but will consider qualified 2nd year students with EcoCAR, or SAE project experience) or Master's degree in one of the following areas: Software Engineering, Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics

Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week in Canada, and for 12-month term (3 consecutive semesters) starting January 2024

Basic electrical and control systems knowledge

Experience with Python (working level knowledge)

Experience with CI/CD systems, software automation
-
Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink and C

Have a valid Full Class G Ontario Driver’s Licence, or equivalent Canadian out-of-province licence
