On - Site: This position requires an employee to be on-site on a full-time basis.
The Role
This is a hands-on opportunity in a state-of-the-art automated facility. The process engineer/tech ops specialist will maintain equipment while developing and physically implementing improvements. This role will be responsible for consulting on future equipment where a considerable amount of creativity and initiative is exercised. The process engineer/tech ops specialist will also perform a supervisory role within an engineering and maintenance team. This role will be assigned to weekend or off-shifts on a shared and rotating basis in alignment with other members of the technical team that supports business needs.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

Support production operations and operators, systems & tools to enable the organization to own the process and achieve team / plant metrics

Assume mechanical and electrical responsibilities for Plant Floor Systems (PFS)

Organize, plan and execute maintenance and process projects including system upgrades and new installations thru design, build & debug concept

Provide technical support in a complex production assembly environment

Technical SME (Subject Matter Expert) advising on planning and scheduling predictive, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities

Maintain, troubleshoot and perform maintenance tasks on equipment

Support PFMEA, TPM and TIP processes within the plant

Develop spare parts strategy for equipment
Additional Description
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications)
-
2-year technical degree or strong hands-on troubleshooting background
-
At least 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
-
Strong knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems (Robotics, Electricity and PLCs, Servos, Mechanical Drives or Tooling)

Working knowledge of process equipment operations, sequence, error proofing and diagnostic capabilities
-
Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance principles
-
Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
-
Ability to multitask and work with others in a highly flexible environment

Hands on engineering mindset
-
Ability to work off shift and OT
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

4-year technical degree preferred (BSME, BSEE) or equivalent experience

5+ years of experience in engineering field

Experience as a process engineer

Strong computer skills
-
Knowledge of Test Systems
-
Metal fabrication/machine shop/welding skills are a bonus

Background in fluid dispense equipment

Background in Allen Bradley Logix PLC controllers for: search and find troubleshooting
