Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Factory Zero on a full-time basis.
As the Renewable Energy Storage Systems (RESS) Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and crafting quality solutions for medium level changes. The RESS Quality Engineer will conduct defect analysis resolution and verification for vehicle subsystem quality, while also supporting vehicle engineering in the Implementation of the Quality Requirements. The RESS Quality Engineer is also responsible for developing, testing, and crafting quality solutions for medium level changes.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
Maintain documentation of Launch Manufacturing Quality Readiness Reviews.
Actively participate in Plant Quality Manager Meetings & Launch Quality Manager Meetings.
Manage projects as requested from Quality Shop Director.
Managerial Courage to provide direct, transparent, constructive feedback to Plant Staff/Executive Leadership in a subtle and professional manner.
Present the Assembly Plant and Engineering Staff with clear problem definition, technical mentorship on sophisticated problems, and regular updates on progress.
Support Launch of new products in the plant when applicable.
Maintain updates to Quality Requirements and Cost of Quality reports by Plant.
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
At least 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
At least 2 years of quality experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Ability to rotate shifts and work overtime on an as needed basis
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
3+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing
2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
2+ years of quality experience
Experience within RESS or Battery/EVs
Bachelor's Degree in engineering field
