Senior Quality Engineer--Launch Excellence Lead Engineer

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with cross function teams to identify requirements, schedule for infrastructure & tool chains development/build to guarantee launch excellence
  • Lead to create SW flash process, SODW,  operation guide and technical training for warehouse technicians to complete SW flash activities at receiving facility
  • Develop automation SW flash tool chains for SW flash at receiving facility
  • Develop remote diagnostic tools for vehicles at receiving facility, proving grounds, dealer side and etc.
  • Interact with Quality and Marketing team to ensure alignment with SW quality expectations for customer experience confirmation ride/captured test fleet/media events activities
  • Interact with Quality and After Sales team for after sales/warranty software issues solving with cross function teams’ proper engagement
  • Act as interface with cross function teams and customers to create data pipelines for analysis, and lead to provide/present timely resolution
  • Analyze and deliver reports using root cause analysis tools and preventative & corrective action techniques.
  • Lead to create live dashboards for cross function teams to monitor SW issues solving progress
  • Analyze and create after sales/warranty SW issues data as database for cross function teams’ prognostics of future programs
  • Ability to travel as required for onsite related SW issues in receiving facility, dealers and etc.
  • Escalates issues quickly when roadblocks or execution issues are identified with simple and clear presentation

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of experience in automotive ECU diagnostic,  vehicle or system level validation
  • Familiar with automotive EE architecture
  • Proficient with CANoe, Vspy script development tools, can create test scripts
  • Proficient to build tool chains from scraps, have capability to design tool chains
  • Programing ability of some or all: Python, C, SQL script, JavaScript, DAX
  • Proven experience with diagnostic, vehicle/system level feature validation
  • Advanced knowledge with vehicle communication protocols CAN/CANFD, Ethernet, SOME/IP, LVDS and etc.
  • High level of problem-solving ability where problems are unusual and difficult. Able to identify problems, analyze varying causes of action to determine, recommend and negotiate optimal solutions and execute contingency plans.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others.
  • High level of oral and written communication skills.
  • Project and Time Management: Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a commitment to the tasks at hand.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Experience with vehicle EE architecture, SW development, SW validation, diagnostic
  • Experience with SW issues trouble shooting by using root cause analysis tools
  • Working knowledge of the agile Software Development Process
