Senior Manager, GM International (GMI) Communications

Plan, devise, and execute vehicle brands; corporate; internal (executive, salaried, and hourly employees); and stakeholder communications to promote favorable view of GM reputation, support sale of passenger vehicles and aftersales, and acceleration of electric vehicle adoption in GM International (GMI) region with 60 operations in South America, Europe, India, the Middle East/North Africa, Australia/New Zealand, South Korea, and Southeast Asia. Revise, create, edit, and align GM messaging in the GMI Region to support business objectives across channels including printed (copy) and digital and social media (internet and video) to internal stakeholders (leadership, salaried and hourly employees) and external stakeholders (media, dealers, government and regulatory stakeholders, business partners, financial institutions, and labor unions). Ensure alignment and consistency between global communications activities and messaging with markets in GMI region, covering corporate themes and brand and product programs, including vehicle launches, and product lifecycle storytelling, assets and messaging. Required travel to GMI regional HQs in Korea, Brazil, and Switzerland to support executive led media interviews and regional internal events (employee meetings) up to 3 weeks per year (equal to ~6% annual travel).        

Additional Description

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field, and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Analyst, Country or Regional Communications; Supervisor, Country or Regional Communications; Manager, Country or Regional Communications, or related role.  Must have experience with: revising, creating, editing, and aligning OEM vehicle maker messaging in Country or Region to support business objectives across channels including printed and social media to stakeholders including employees and labor unions.
