Onsite - This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Lockport, New York on a full-time basis.

The Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer - Injection Molding , your role will involve utilizing strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate as part of a cohesive team in a fast-paced, high-volume, union-represented environment.

You will collaborate with mold designers and mold makers to collectively address and resolve injection molding issues. Additionally, you will engage with equipment Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to seek assistance in problem-solving and obtain design guidance.

Your role will also require the application of program management skills to lead projects, overseeing upgrades and improvements from the initial design phase through debugging and production release.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for providing regular updates to management regarding the status of critical and high-priority projects. In cases where additional support is needed, you will escalate any issues to ensure timely project execution.

What You'll Do

  • Specify and procure new injection mold equipment for primarily nylon resins:  presses, auxiliary controllers, pick ‘n place systems, material feed systems, process controllers, chillers, dryers, etc.

  • Lead projects to retrofit and repurpose existing injection mold equipment

  • Support maintenance troubleshooting for current problems with equipment or process

  • Develop or continuously improve injection mold processes to achieve high quality parts with desired thruput

  • Apply knowledge of molding best practices

Additional Description

Your Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology or Equivalent certification with experience in Injection Molding coursework

  • Experience in Injection Molding processing and/or equipment

  • The expected base compensation for this role is: $93,400.00 - $149,200.00 Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
