Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Mountain View, CA three times per week, at minimum.
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Staff Quality Engineer with a strong background in Linux environments and a focus on security. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure the quality and security with a focus on automation.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Linux applications and security features.

Conduct security testing, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and compliance checks.

Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify testing requirements and establish quality benchmarks.

Automate test processes and frameworks to improve efficiency and accuracy in testing.
-
Identify, document, and track defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to the design and implementation of secure coding practices.

Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in QA and Linux security.

Mentor junior QA engineers and provide guidance on testing methodologies and tools.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

9+ years of experience in QA engineering, with a focus on Linux environments, automation.

Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and command-line tools.

Experience with security testing tools and methodologies.

Proficient in scripting languages (Python) for automation.

Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Compensation:

The expected base compensation for this role is: $186,000- $285,300. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
