Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Bowling Green Assembly on a full-time basis.

The Role :

In this role your responsibilities will be of a technical nature with decisions made within the limits of general practices, policies and standards. Your work will involve complex manufacturing problems including the need to root cause and follow issues to resolve. 

What You’ll Do :

You will be responsible for equipment related to the manufacturing process. You will required to use your independent discernment. 

Your responsibility may involve training others and assigning work to a small group of employees.
You will propose and evaluate the processes for equipment in assigned area
Direct the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes for assigned area
You will keep regular contact with partners outside the work group
You will provide direction to small group of technical employees
You may evaluate or monitor expenditures for processes and/or equipment

    Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) ​​

    • 3 yrs of Manufacuring experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience in Controls Field.
    • Intimate knowledge of automotive tooling and manufacturing assembly processes.
    • Broad industrial controls and automation knowledge as it relates to automotive assembly plant.
    • Oral and written communication skills with the ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience
    • Must be willing to work any shift and extended hours from time to time;
    • Must be willing to work daily and weekend overtime when needed         

    What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

    • Proficient in Rockwell Contrologix platform and RSLogix 5000 preferred.       
    • Proficient in Rockwell EtherNET IP architecture and configuration preferred.       
    • Proficient in Rockwell DeviceNET architecture and configuration preferred.       
    • VFD experience (PowerFlex 700, 755, ArmourStarts, MoviMOT,) preferred.  
    • Fanuc robotics experience preferred.          
    • Proficient with AutoCad preferred.
    • Proficient with basic electrical standards, NEC Code. GM standards
    • Proficient with safety standards; lockout, ESWP, safety assessments, buyoff processes, GM standard safety protocols.
