Workplace Status:

Hybrid - This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to their primary location three times per week, at minimum, or other frequency dictated by the business.

The Role:

The Staff Cyber Security Software Engineer will be a key individual contributor responsible for designing and implementing robust security measures for our cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud technologies, strong expertise in security best practices, and a proven track record of implementing effective security solutions in a cloud environment.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

1) Architectural Design : Design and implement secure cloud architectures, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data. Including but not limited to:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Security
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Data Encryption
  • Container Security
  • Network Security
  • Security Automation
  • Security by Design
  • Cloud Service Integration
  • Documentation
  • Collaboration
  • Emerging Technologies

2) Risk Assessment : Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability assessments for cloud-based systems, identifying potential security threats and developing mitigation strategies.

3) Security Policies : Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security requirements.

4) Incident Response : Participate in incident response efforts related to cloud security incidents, working closely with the IT and security teams to investigate and resolve incidents promptly.

5) Security Audits : Conduct regular security audits of cloud environments to identify and address potential issues.

Additional Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of [8] years of experience in cloud security architecture, with a proven track record of designing and implementing security solutions in cloud environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong understanding of encryption, identity and access management, and network security in cloud environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or AWS Certified Security Specialty are a plus.

Compensation:

The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.

The salary range for this role is $137,000 to $214,300. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
