Onsite: This position requires an employee to be on-site (GMCH Kokomo Operations) on a full-time basis.

Work Arrangement​​ : This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Kokomo, Indiana on a full-time basis. Role will be on first shift or second shift or third shift;  overtime is expected.

The Role:

The career level Manufacturing Engineer will be skilled in manufacturing equipment, tooling and process improvements and overall manufacturing process support. The work is performed in a manufacturing environment where innovation, creativity and initiative is used to support current manufacturing operations.

What You’ll Do: 

Responsible for supporting activities that may include:

  • Ensure all manufacturing technical documentation is up to date.
  • Provide technical direction and oversight of internal resources and external vendor resources.
  • Assist team members in problem solving and improving overall equipment efficiency.
  • Provide day-to-day support of manufacturing operations and maintenance.
  • Work with cross functional team members to resolve issues related to quality, process, and equipment.
  • Participate in identifying and resolving safety and ergonomics issues.
  • Facilitate and or train team members and maintenance personnel.  Develop training manuals as needed.
  • Participate in planning and coordination activities to ensure all project tasks are completed within prescribed time frame and budget parameters

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)​​ :

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of high-volume manufacturing
  • Previous experience with computer- based office and engineering software, including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
  • Ability to work off shifts and weekends as well as overtime as needed.
