Description

Develop and integrate new infotainment and telematics features and interfaces into GM vehicles, including development, execution and maintaining of test scripts, test suites and simulation models and focusing on stability of system through script execution. Understand the detailed operation of infotainment features across multiple ECUs at the deepest level. Verify operation of Infotainment features that function on ECU and module interfaces such as CAN, Ethernet, and LIN. Perform work well in advance of validation timeline. Develop custom SW/HW tools as needed to improve work efficiency and results. Acquire and analyze data logs such as Automotive Ethernet, A2B, CAN, and LIN for root cause identification. Work directly with suppliers to develop, test, and integrate interfaces and features that use them. Conduct workshops with suppliers for feature and interface development issues and document appropriately to a specific module owner. Understand system configurations and develop optimal combinations for development and test. Develop execution plans for each integration release. Identify and communicate group tasks to complete integration work ahead of time. Stay ahead of current product developments and trends in area of responsibility. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.

REQUIREMENTS:                

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems Security, or related field of study and Two (2) years of experience as a Quality Engineer, Test Engineer, Development Engineer, or related role.  Two years of experience with: Infotainment, telematics, and vehicle controls systems engineering; Automotive electrical interfaces including CAN, LIN, EAVB, A2B, USB, and LVDS; Soldering, ECU flashing, vehicle updates, and component removal and installation; Wireless communications protocols including Wi-Fi, Cellular, and NFC; Packet data communication including SMS and TCP/IP; Back-office integration concepts, including Over the Air, as they apply to infotainment and telematics features; Systems engineering methods including DFSS, applying it to automotive product integrity and safety; Programming with Python; Automation tools scripting and keyword development using Python; Vehicle architecture expertise using CAN Autosar network; Intrepid vehicle spy tool programming and integration with RIDE automation; Picoscope measurement and integration into automated tools; and Jira.
