GM Tuition Assistance
GM Tuition Assistance is available to salaried US employees on a reimbursement basis for successful completion of approved degree-related course work.
Globesmart is an online resource designed to help employees increase their cultural agility and improve their ability to interface with colleagues and clients in different countries.
Hourly Growth & Development Programs
The Manufacturing University program is designed to help manufacturing employees develop skills and competencies to help guide personal and professional development. The program offers courses to support non-technical learning, including professional development courses in communication and leadership.
Hourly Tuition Assistance Program
U.S. (UAW) hourly employees with a minimum of 90 days seniority who are on active or temporary layoff status are eligible to receive education coaching and tuition assistance for approved courses in the areas of degree-related, job-related and personal enhancement.
Skilled Trades Apprenticeship Readiness Certificate (STARC)
The STARC program provides eligible employees the opportunity to kickstart their careers with a for a skilled trades apprenticeship in manufacturing or engineering at GM.
On-Site Development Opportunities
There are many opportunities at our sites for employees to grow and develop. These opportunities include the potential to obtain GM-specific accreditations, positively impact the launch of our products, act as a Team Leader, drive safety as a priority, improve quality, and provide their perspectives on manufacturing operations.

The Employee Placement System (EPS) is a tool for represented hourly employees to explore job transfer opportunities across the U.S. Employees can sign up for notifications about their preferred locations and apply directly to opportunities as they become available.
