- Development, validation, implementation, documentation and monitoring of automotive industry forecast models (econometric models and time series) for short and long-term for different market levels:
- Total industry
- Fleet
- Luxury
- ANPACT
- Electric industry
- Historical analysis of industry and GM sales to determine monthly seasonal factors
- Calculation of daily rates based on historical data of wholesale and retail by channel to set by-day sales objectives
- Monitoring of national & global news and economic dynamics to provide insight of their potential impact to automotive industry
- Economic factors database maintenance
- Central America and Caribbean annual and monthly industry forecast development and update
- Support with monthly sales reporting to GMNA
- Analysis and reporting of historical inventory levels for volume drivers
- Support quarterly and on demand top executives’ presentations
Additional Description
- Statistical modeling, macroeconomic dynamics, time series forecasting, measures of model accuracy and goodness of fit, demand models, data summarization (grouping and visualization)
- Econometric software (E-views)
- Experience programming in R, Phyton and SQL (desirable)
- Knowledge in big data, desirable
- Microsoft Office (Visual Basic, Data Tools, Power Bi or Tableau desirable)
- Knowledge and understanding of Corporate/unit policies and procedures
- Mathematical and statistical skills, quantitative reasoning, data analysis, economics and business environment awareness, information summarization and storytelling
- Proficient level in English (Fluid conversation)
- Well-developed oral and written communications skills
