Hybrid: Position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time but the general expectation is that the employee be onsite an average of three (3) days each week.
We are seeking a Simulation Software Engineer to aid in the development of our simulation toolchain in GM Motorsports. You will help develop the complete toolchain for a standalone simulation tool, starting from R&D to project planning through to implementation of both back and front end. Using software best practices, you will help define test procedures for vehicles on track to collect the required data to validate existing models. You will be required to deliver all projects to the highest standards, on time and within budget. You must have experience in using Dymola and Modelica , deploying models via the FMI standard, and have passion for crafting highly accurate and numerically efficient models.

Additional Description
What you will need:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related subject

5 years of highly validated experience in design or testing gained within a motorsport organization
-
NASCAR experience

Knowledge of using Dymola/Modelica in a simulation toolchain

Experience with Concurrent or dSpace Hardware Real-Time Systems

Excellent knowledge of: Java, C/C++, SQL, Modelica

Ability to multi-task in a multifaceted, constantly evolving environment, bringing a strong work ethic and integrity; able to work a flexible schedule
Nice to have:

Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related subject

Knowledge and experience in tire modeling, construction, testing, and validation

Knowledge of FMI standard and deploying FMU’s in co-simulation and model exchange
