This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of [Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Milford or Mountain View], you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.
The Role
As a Technical Enablement Strategist on the Marketing Applied Sciences (MAS) team, you will play a key role in driving strategic initiatives that leverage technology, data, and insights to advance GM’s marketing vision and goals. This individual contributor role requires a combination of strategic thinking, industry expertise, technical knowledge, and business acumen to develop cross-functional platforms and solutions. Your work will help transition GM from an agency-driven approach to a more integrated and innovative model, building our internal technical capabilities to gain a competitive edge in our marketing efforts.
In this role, you will identify opportunities, distill complex challenges into actionable strategies, and collaborate with partner teams to deliver data-driven solutions that align with business objectives and create measurable impact. Your responsibilities will include working with architecting solutions, audience models, experimentation results, and measurement analytics to help drive existing and new customer marketing campaigns, all while prioritizing cost efficiency and effectiveness.
What You’ll Do
Technical Enablement Strategist, be responsible for:
- Leading the development of industry-leading solutions in CRM and media advertising ecosystems by collaborating closely with partner teams in the respective areas to in-house current agency-driven efforts while advancing beyond them to establish next-level capabilities.
- Developing a framework that facilitates targeting, experimentation, and measurement analytics as part of the end-to-end CRM and media process.
- Fostering strong relationships and effectively influencing partner teams to cultivate a collaborative culture, streamline processes, and enhance the visibility of each team's overall contributions.
- Working closely with cross-functional and cross-organizational teams to establish clear objectives, success criteria, and measurable KPIs for technology enablement initiatives.
- Serving as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating technical solutions into the context of business needs and objectives.
- Converting complex opportunities into actionable recommendations, providing guidance on next best actions, and ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams.
- Maintaining thorough documentation and organized repositories to effectively communicate strategies, insights, and outcomes.
- Leveraging storytelling and visualization to present data-driven recommendations and outcome nuances to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactively identifying risks and mitigate challenges associated with strategic initiatives.
- Continuously measuring and optimizing the effectiveness of strategic initiatives to maximize their impact.
- Communicating with executive leadership and creating visibility of how this collaborative body of teams is delivering our stated goals.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related quantitative field, or equivalent combination of education and recent, relevant work experience.
- 5-8+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or quantitative insights in an enterprise setting, working with consumer first and third party data.
- 2+ years of experience successfully leading or collaborating with technical teams or work.
- 5+ years of work in understanding digital identity solutions, onboarding data, addressible digital audiences and working with platforms such as LiveRamp. Neustar, The Trade Desk, Axciom, Merkle, etc.
- 5+ years of experience and examples building customer platforms and exhibiting platform and data governance, working with CDPs like Adobe Experience Platform, etc.
- Understanding of the principles of causality and/or modeling of incrementality.
- Understanding of the basic principles of experimental design and analysis.
- Familiarity with models of customer lifetime value, retention, and churn.
- Prior experience managing and influencing stakeholders, analysts, architects, engineers, and other product owners building a similar capability.
- Ability to evaluate the big picture and solve business problems rather than focusing solely on metrics.
- Strong drive for results and intellectual curiosity; must be a self-starter.
- Ability to train, mentor, and evaluate the technical capabilities of others.
- Prior experience evaluating and/or hiring high-performing talent.
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated success.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects at once without sacrificing quality.
- Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills and highly collaborative work style.
- Excellent oral, listening, presentation, and written communication skills.
This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
A company vehicle will be provided for this role with successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Report review.
Compensation:
- The expected base compensation for this role is: $110,000- $245,000. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
