This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Warren, MI Innovation Center or Austin, TX Innovation Center you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum. This job may be eligible for relocation.
As part of the larger MarTech Strategy and Solutions team, the Senior MarTech Solutions Architect is a key leader focused on enabling the design, development and deployment of world-class modern marketing capabilities at General Motors. This role sits at the intersection of marketing strategy and technology. This role leads the future direction and design for platforms that leverage world-class technology to create personalized, relevant, data-driven experiences using our Marketing Technology stack inclusive of Customer Data Platforms (CDP), Personalization engines, Campaign Management tools (email, SMS, push notifications, and in-vehicle notifications), AdTech, and other tools to create meaningful experiences for our customers.
This role requires a self-starter, with deep expertise in marketing technology, focused on Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Journey Orchestration, and Adobe Campaign, with experience in the data capture and data architecture that enable these platforms. We are looking for a creative problem solver and collaborator who can establish a clear vision and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to achieve that vision. A proven track record designing and building marketing technology tools – along with deep knowledge and expertise across the full MarTech solution space (personalization, media activation, email campaign management, CMS, AdTech, identity resolution, etc.).
Roles and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Responsible for leading the solution design of Adobe AEP and Campaign tools – AJO, CJO, ACC, etc. aligned to meet specific business objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business strategy and requirements and translate them into technical roadmaps and designs.
- Responsible for configuring and setting up Adobe Experience Platform and Campaign based on best practices and industry standards.
- Help to develop the multi-year roadmaps working with Product Management and Engineering to deliver on Business and Platform technical objectives
- Responsible for developing and implementing data models, schemas, and workflows within Adobe AEP and Real-time CDP as well as the integration of Adobe AEP with other Adobe Marketing Cloud solutions (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target) and third-party systems as needed.
- Assist in the design and implement data integration strategies to ensure seamless data flow between systems and help to define data quality standards within Adobe AEP and Campaign.
- Responsible for ensuring solutions provide data security, privacy and compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g. CCPA, GDPR) and have monitoring in place.
- Ensure the solutions conform to architectural requirements such as scalability, maintainability, reliability, extensibility, usability, and security.
- Collaborate with Adobe representatives and partners to stay updated on platform enhancements and new features as well as evaluating and recommending Platform add-ons and extensions to provide more value to our business.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business leads, product managers, developers, and data engineering, to ensure alignment.
- Provides guidance, coaching and/or training to other team members on Adobe AEP and Campaign concepts and best practices as appropriate.

Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience architecting and implementing digital marketing solutions across the MarTech solutions space for large corporate environments
- Extensive experience (5+ yrs) in Adobe Experience Platform and Adobe Campaign solutions on-prem and cloud architecture and implementations.
- Proficiency in Adobe Experience Platform and Real-time CDP, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Journey Optimizer, bonus experience including Customer Journey Analytics, Adobe Target, and other Adobe Marketing Cloud solutions as well as SQL, scripting languages, and data manipulation.
- Strong knowledge of software development principles, methodologies, and best practices in an Agile delivery model.
- Expertise in designing and implementing scalable and distributed systems.
- Deep understanding of system integration patterns and technologies (e.g., JSON, REST, SOAP, ESB, Server to Server APIs)
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and modeling tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders including leadership.
- Relevant Adobe certifications are a plus, Experience Cloud Architect or Business Practitioner Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) certifications

Compensation:
- The expected base compensation for this role is: ( $94,80,100-$151,400). Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
