The successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Tech Center on a full-time basis. This role requires up to 50% domestic and international travel.

  • WHY: The purpose of the End of Line Hardware Execution ME is to inspire customer confidence in every vehicle we build.

  • WHAT: Execute critical end of line test equipment into our assembly plants.  

  • HOW: Guide the design, build, installation and ongoing support of our end of line test equipment including: Dynamic Vehicle Test (DVT), Alignment, and Headlamp Aim.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Develop and implement systems that test and calibrate every vehicle produced in GM's assembly plants. Ensure the equipment meets GM standards and internal customer requirements.

  • Lead the creation and deployment of integrated systems to adapt to evolving vehicle and manufacturing technologies. Oversee milestones from initial development through testing and validation, final production and issue resolution after install when needed.

  • Work collaboratively with project management and installation teams at equipment integration suppliers and assembly plants to complete project deliverables by defining agreement dates for meetings, reviews deliverables, buy-offs, shipping, tool on dock, installation, debugging and validation.

  • Evaluate and understand mechanical, electrical and software test requirements for new vehicle programs and features and develop timing and budget to support. Confirm all the options for the plant products were included from the current production to the near future projects.

  • Foster a forward-thinking work culture that embraces change and navigates future organizational and industry challenges.

  • Build and nurture strategic relationships across various functions including software, manufacturing, and program management to synergize efforts towards future innovations.

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • 5+ years of experience within the automotive or manufacturing industry

  • Knowledge of tooling processes and familiarity with assembly plant processes.

  • Proven experience in project management, particularly in collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software testing requirements.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Mechanical expertise working with assembly plant tooling.

  • Electrical test equipment experience working with DVT and/or Alignment machinery.

  • Assembly Plant Tooling installation experience.
