Key Responsibilities:-
- Ensuring accurate accounting, timely reporting and perform financial analysis
- Ensuring compliance with local & international accounting standards
- Timely & accurate Financial reporting for Corporate consolidation
- Responsible for accurate costing in books & reporting for the same
- Support tax team in providing financial information for tax audits/tax filings.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
- Implement and ensure appropriate financial and internal controls in compliance with company policies and procedures or as deemed appropriate by senior leadership team
- Supports Treasury team for Cash flow management, liquidity &working capital management
- Supports FP&A by performing detailed financial analysis and sharing variance analysis
- Identify to bring efficiencies and reducing costs/wastes across the business
- Support key stakeholders such as CFO, Executives and Functional heads
- Responsible for timely completion of statutory audits working closely with auditors/stakeholders to get unqualified financial statement which is shared with Board and shareholders
- Act as financial advisor to BU, enabling data driven decisions
- Managing Technical accounting including but not limited to contract review, share accounting guidance to ensure compliance with the applicable statutory/GM reporting requirements.
- Manage CAPEX projects to ensure compliance with GM & GAAP requirements
- Works independently on driving team results, determines resources to complete team assignments.
- Enhances relationships and networks with senior internal/external partners who are not familiar with subject matter and often require persuasion.
- Supporting internal/external stakeholders through data driven decision .
- Managing team effectively, demonstrate GM behaviors and reinforcement GM behavior within & outside controllership.
- Effectively communicates and presents recommendations and results across several job areas.
- Lead, Mentor and develop the Controllership team

- Owns the outcome and ensure timely development and delivery of solutions, driving cross projects, Lead by example, taking responsibility for own actions, and holding themselves accountable for deliverables.
- Critical thinker and able to follow out of the box approach to addresses and evaluates diverse compelling issues, identifying innovative methods, looking alternative opportunities.
- Responsible for team development including performance review, training, Coaching and mentorship.

- Comprehend, interpret and present to others the financial results, variance analysis of financial results and account reconciliations.

- Assess needs and then develop, implement and monitor procedural improvements surrounding the accounting process relating to costs, inventory, warranties, claims and sales allowances.
- Interpret and operationalize applicable accounting policies and procedures.

- Plan, assign, and supervise the work of direct reports.

- Technical skills:
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS, US GAAP, Local GAAP etc.)
- Good understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Familiarity with local tax regulations
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle etc) and advanced Excel
- In-depth knowledge of internal controls, audit processes, and risk management frameworks (e.g, ICFR, SOX compliance)
GM Specific Skills, Knowledge, Behaviors
- Proficient understanding of SAP & HFM system functionality.
- Understanding of GM’s management, legal, and segment organizational structures and how they are consolidated.
- Understanding of GM’s chart of accounts and HFM accounts, and how they impact the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement.
Knowledge and Experience:
- 10+ years of working experience in Accounting/ Costing function/ management accounting experience with 5+ years at supervisory level
- 2+ years in Big 4 audit firm or US publicly listed company preferred
Education:
- Possesses at least a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and/ or Finance or related field
- CPA,CA,ACCA or equivalent
