Work Arrangement:
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Milford, MI three times (Tues., Wed., Thurs.) a week, at minimum.
The Role:
The Low Voltage Infrastructure Team within the Embedded Platform Systems & Infrastructure organization is focused on the development of systems, software and controls centered around on-vehicle low voltage power generation, energy storage, power management, distribution, and consumption control. There is no better time to join this newly formed team as we evolve to the next generation of low voltage power architectures and consumption control strategies in SDV2.0!
As a Controller Integration Engineer (CIE) , you will be a responsible for the integration and testing of the controls software releases on both bench and vehicle assets and provide system level expertise to verify software operation for various controllers in addition to troubleshooting bench and vehicle level issues and develop recommended solutions.
What You'll Do:

Work with cross functional teams to define and document thorough and efficient test scenarios
-
Verify software functionality on a bench or vehicle using advanced testing methods and tools on time and with quality to meet program milestones

Troubleshoot, identify and root-cause problems in system features, controller hardware, software, calibrations, etc. that result in system operation that does not meet the design intent (including development activities, build events, buy-off rides, test trips, general fleet usage, etc.)

Work/support technical specialists to resolve challenging system interaction issues, working to create a robust method to predict and prevent integration issues, developing robust system issue resolving techniques and technology

Develop experimental software for proposed changes and perform integration testing with minimal direction of lead engineers

Analyze software defects; determine root cause, create software solution, test and verify and bring issue to closure

Conduct/participate in work product reviews for algorithm, software, and specifications incorporating I/O functional requirements and test cases

Provide documented examples of process, tool, or other improvements in standard work

Work with various cross-functional and global teams in the US, Canada, and India to meet project deliverables

Manage and lead multiple projects and assignments with a high level of autonomy and accountability for results

Required Qualifications:
-
BS in Computer Science, Electrical, Software, Mechanical or Computer Engineering
-
2+ years of professional experience in software integration, CI/CD and/or DevOps with experience in tooling, infrastructure solutions and automated testing

Experience in SW development/testing, instrumentation and benches (e.g. dSPACE), Simulink, Stateflow, ETAS INCA and Vehicle Spy
-
Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Python, Assembly)
-
Familiarity with microprocessor/micro-controller design and theory
-
Ability to independently investigate issues based on limited information, demonstrating high level of analytical ability to resolve complex problems
-
Creative and disciplined with a strong sense of ownership, responsibility and on schedule delivery commitment
-
Capable of completing multiple tasks with competing priorities
-
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:

MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Software, Mechanical or Computer Engineering

Experience working in Agile Framework
-
Experience with Automotive Communication Protocols (Ethernet/CAN/LIN)

Project management skills: planning and prioritizing work to deliver required objectives on time with quality
