This role is categorized as HYBRID . This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM - Cadillac Tower three times per week, at minimum. This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.
As the Senior Marketing Manager for Chevrolet Crossover and SUVs, you will lead the strategic vehicle lifecycle plan, including developing and executing positioning, product launch, go-to-market plan, and growth initiatives to optimize sales and profitability. You will lead and partner with cross functional teams to deliver a comprehensive vehicle line plan that encompasses product, pricing/incentives, advertising, promotions, and retailer channel. This position reports to the Chevrolet Marketing Director.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and lead launch strategy for current programs and partner cross functionally on future product, looking for overarching brand efficiencies and opportunities
- Devise product marketing initiatives to optimize sales, share, variable profit, and Demand Space targets
- Ability to leverage and story tell through data to make informed decisions to implement and execute our strategy, and communicate strategy to senior leaders
- Provide SUV consumer insights to drive creative work, key messages, and customer target; all within the context of Chevrolet SUV umbrella positioning
- Lead a large team of Marketing Managers, Assistant Marketing Managers and Product Specialist; Drive successful execution of marketing strategies and develop a high performing team through feedback and coaching, performance reviews, and skill development
- Be the voice of the customer through deep knowledge of understanding the customers functional, technical and emotional needs
- Drive insights and recommendations with a consumer-first mindset, driven by data and a comprehensive understanding of the product, brand, segment trends and competitive landscape (current and future)
For each product:
- Identify consumer insights, competitive opportunities and segment trends to guide development of market strategy/tactics
- Lead target market definition, positioning, and key messages
- Develop and lead all stakeholders to a 4P launch plan from pre-launch through post-launch for new products and throughout lifecycle with a focus of driving growth and profitability
- Develop cohesive SUV and Crossover packaging, trim and go to market strategies
- Partner with sales operations on monthly go-to-market plan recommendations including inventory analysis, trim mix and packaging optimizations, and production recommendations
- Collaborate with Brand Strategy Team to develop compelling consumer insights and messaging strategy
- Closely partner with Product Marketing and Engineering on program lifecycle management and future program development. Identifying customers needs/wants, developing initial model content and strategy, and creating product wins for communications
- Assume leadership role in developing content for dealer product training
- Implement and create life-cycle appropriate special editions, packaging adjustments, and promotions to attain business objectives
- Collaborate with Communications and Advertising teams to develop key messages for media and social media and actively participate in media events as a subject matter expert
- Collaborate with Sales Operations Team in dealer communications and soliciting feedback to ensure plans can be effectively executed at retail
- Engage and partner with Order Fulfillment and Sales Operations in managing product distribution strategy and tactics
- Ensure accuracy and effective messaging in all consumer communications, dealer communications, press releases, dealer order guides
- Serve as SME of assigned products/segments to the Chevrolet organization. Provide guidance to develop a portfolio approach for marketing management.
- Develop customer targets, product content, pricing, media planning and incentives recommendations to maximize VP and share in the market

Essential Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required - marketing, business or related field preferred
- 10+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Branding, or Centers of Expertise Marketing
- Ability to work well in a complex team environment and marshal resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done; uses resources effectively and efficiently
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Experience leading a large team, creating a positive culture for growth and development, and managing cross-functional relationships
- Ability to work well in a complex team environment
- Demonstrated ability to own and effectively manage budgets
- Ability to develop and communicate new and unique marketing ideas that will effectively drive consumers to action
- Ability to make/recognize effective trade-off decisions and negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups, can win concessions without damaging relationships
- Ability to make sound decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment
- A self-starter with the ability to think strategically, develop creative solutions, and communicate strategy and plans effectively
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Highly developed presentation skills both in the development and delivery of presentation
- High level of expertise within Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Understanding of Field and Dealer organization
- Proven ability to use complex data to form in-depth analytical insights and synthesize data into critical information for different audiences
- Occasional travel, including some weekends, and ability to occasionally work irregular hours
- Experience developing and executing marketing strategy for a vehicle launch preferred
A company vehicle will be provided for this role with successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Report review.
