Senior Program Manager, Mechatronic Infrastructure

Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Global Technical Center in Warren (MI) or Milford Proving Ground in Milford (MI) three times per week, at minimum. This position can be located at either of these 2 locations.

The Role

As the Program Manager for Mechatronic Infrastructure, you will play a critical role in executing the foundational software and tools that support both current and future electrical architectures. You are expected to be a decisive leader, comfortable negotiating with key stakeholders and communicating effectively with customers. In this role, you'll bring a customer-centric mindset, create and drive plans, lead by example, navigate ambiguity with confidence, and apply design thinking principles to guide your decision-making.

What You’ll Do

  • Own deliverables for one or more basic software (BSW) and/or infrastructure tooling products

  • Partner with product, engineering, systems, and business stakeholders to scope and deliver enterprise-scale infrastructure programs

  • Translate corporate strategy into actionable technical roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables

  • Lead programs from requirements definition though deployment, identifying schedules, scopes and implementation plans including risk mitigation

  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule and budget

  • Analyze and report program status and when necessary, revise the scope, schedule or budget to ensure program objectives can be met with quality

  • Lead process creation and documentation for program-related activities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders providing day-to-day contact on program status and changes

  • Create and manage core documentation such as the execution plan for product lifecycle

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree In Engineering, Business, Computer Science or related field

  • 5+ years of project/program management experience

  • Experience in Embedded Controls, Software Architecture and Systems Engineering

  • Proficient at analyzing unusual and complex design challenges to make data driven decisions in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment

  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate and negotiate effectively with stakeholders, leaders, engineering staffs and co-workers

What will give you a competitive edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or MBA with technical focus

  • 3+ years of project/program management experience in 1 or more architectural domains; embedded controls, embedded infrastructure, virtualization and continuous integration and continuous deployment (CICD)

  • Knowledge of basic software (BSW) functions and software development process

  • Experience with the AUTOSAR Classic Platform including use and/or development of application, communication, RTE and basic software (BSW) within this or similar architectures

  • PMP Certification
