REMOTE/HYBRID: This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Warren, MI Innovation Center, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum. This job may be eligible for relocation.

As a Media Solutions Strategist , this role is responsible for supporting the design & deployment of key media capabilities across the marketing workflow, including media planning, audience targeting, activation, measurement, and more.   This role works closely with internal business stakeholders, external industry experts, and the MediaOne team to define specific needs, uncover new opportunities, and translate these into innovative solutions that deliver flawless executions.  This role will work closely with other Media Solutions Strategists & Technologists to constantly evolve a comprehensive & connected media operating system on which the global MediaOne team operates. 

Success will be driven by the ability to drive the vision & execution into practice at scale – curiosity, creativity, & collaboration are essential.  Those who can not only craft & create their own solutions, but also embrace iterating and integrating with others, are who we seek and are excited to meet.  

A successful candidate will also have strong communication skills, a data-driven approach to developing media solutions, a firm understanding of omni-channel media targeting & measurement, and an ability to provide concise feedback and organized direction to a diverse set of internal stakeholders and external agency and vendor partners.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert for individual Brand audiences, targeting strategy & frameworks, and media targeting tactics
  • Oversee & manage media technology & data relationships, contracts , & associated budgets
  • Work very closely with internal Marketing Science & Marketing Technology teams to align efforts & priorities
  • Develop new strategies based on media objectives and shape to gain acceptance and deliver outcomes
  • Champion projects building relationships across local and global markets/agencies
  • Partner with external vendors and industry groups staying current across key media topics to drive innovation
  • Support Media Solutions leads in related goals such as brand safety, sustainability, cross-tier, & cross-channel
  • Collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders such as Privacy, Legal, Finance, Purchasing, etc.

Skills / Knowledge / Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in media planning & buying; agency and/or advertiser experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required, marketing, business, technology or closely related areas preferred   ​
  • Experience with programmatic media, audience management, media technology, and/or ad operations preferred
  • Ability to build strong relationships & partnerships
  • Ability to track and manage complex initiatives requiring the input of multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to listen to and understand the needs of internal/external stakeholders and develop thoughtful solutions
  • Drive & curiosity to remain current in the media space through ongoing education and skill development
  • Strong presentation skills, including written and oral communications
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
  • Excellent time management skills – the ability to effectively and efficiently use your time to focus on the most impactful activities and challenge those that distract from the identified goal
  • Ability to effectively communicate with global partners as needed and be sensitive to local cultures / insights
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining graceful under pressure
  • Proactive self-starter who can work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Can-do attitude in the face of complex & evolving situations
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Compensation:

  • The expected base compensation for this role is: ($76,100-$121,600). Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
