Battery Process Engineering Supervisor

In execution, we are directly responsible for the equipment from the time it is qualified at the OEM through startup plus one year.  This includes equipment qualification at the OEM, shipping, install, power-on, debug, issue resolution, documentation and deliverables, and meeting launch metrics.

The selected candidate will be responsible for Process Engineering Supervision of the BEV3 Battery @ our Spring Hill, TN facility. This includes coordinating of installation, debug, runoff, and PPAP of equipment to manufacture Lithium Ion Batteries.  Work will be performed in a plant environment where a considerable amount of creativity and initiative is exercised as well as a high level of independent judgment.


  • Execution of the SCRUM / Agile Process, as the Product Owner, to accomplish daily tasks and meet the project deliverables.
  • Prioritization / leveling of workload to enable employees to accomplish all responsibilities.
  • Project Management of Execution Phase of Program
  • Responsible for supervision of the Process / Test / Weld resources.
    • Resource Development
    • Coaching / Mentoring / Training of Newer / Less Experienced Team Members
    • Travel & Overtime Approval
    • CAP Goal Setting, Mid-Year, Year-End Performance Reviews
    • CDPT Discussions
    • Compensation Planning and Communication
    • Managing Budget Targets
    • Planning Vacation Schedules
  • Providing technical direction to and coordination of less experienced process engineers
  • Collaboration with the Operations Team on Program Deliverables
    • PFMEAs Review / Simulation Review / Control Plans / Launch Deliverables / etc.
  • Lead the lessons learned gathering activity and feed the information back to the central process team for BOE/BOP updates.
  • Establishes Equipment Installation board and review weekly / daily with OEM and contractors.
  • Establish PPAP readiness boards and review weekly / daily with the leadership team.


  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Required
  • Experience as a People Leader and/or Equivalent Indirect Leadership Experience
  • Strong Technical knowledge and ability in process engineering discipline
  • Program Execution Experience (Equipment Install through SORP and launch)
  • Experience in Leading a project (Coordinating Resources / Updates to Leadership / Status Reporting / Tracking Timelines)
  • Experience working in the SCRUM Framework
  • Experience in troubleshooting equipment (Problem Solving / Debug)
  • 6+ Years Automotive Engineering Experience (Plant and/or Execution)

This position is not eligible for ISP, ITAP or localizations.
