Electrical Vehicle Critical Materials Sourcing Manager



  • Recruit, mentor and lead a highly capable, diverse team of professionals, ensuring that the team is aligned with the mission, equipped with essential support and empowered to innovate and bring their best selves to work every day
  • Work closely with diverse internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain a strategic understanding of the external demand and supply forces impacting the availability of critical materials in your portfolio
  • Work with cross-functional partners to formulate and execute your sourcing strategy, ensuring alignment and support throughout the journey
  • Lead the formulation and negotiations of the essential commercial deal points for each engagement, ensuring win-win outcomes and relationships to withstand growing competitive pressures
  • Ensure a viable supply chain footprint that is optimized for economic value, scale, supply security, sustainability, ethics and resilience
  • Develop and manage great supplier relationships
  • Lead and respond to critical supply chain issues and provide contingency solutions to mitigate supply chain risk or logistics disruptions.
  • Provide pro-active communication on issues that can impact purchasing or the supply chain
  • Develop and execute on protection of supply and contingency plans

Remote: This position does not require employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee’s role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basis.

The determination by HR and the Hiring Manager as to whether an offer will be lateral or promotional will be based on a candidate’s relevant experience and whether the role will amount to a significant increase in level of responsibility.

Additional Description


  • Bachelor Degree OR MBA required
  • 8-10 years experience in supply chain or mining sales, mineral economics
  • Experience negotiating multiple complex commercial agreements for mined, refined and processed materials simultaneously
  • Experience leading business development and/or sales and marketing activities particularly in the mining, refining, processing industries
  • Experience with complex contract drafting and negotiations with legal, finance, accounting and other stakeholders
  • Experience building, developing and leading high performing teams
  • Track record of building highly influential and collaborative stakeholder relationships
  • Adept at engaging and influencing senior executives
  • Energized by ambiguity and the opportunity to appropriately create/adjust processes to the scale/phase of the business
