Fleet Sales Performance Manager


Remote: This position does not require employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee’s role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basis.

The Digital Business Services team is seeking a Fleet Sales Performance Manager.  Reporting to the Revenue Growth Manager, Fleet & Business Solutions, this dynamic leader will leverage their business and people leadership experience and passion for reports and analytics to:

1.      Influence Dealer processes, ensuring OnStar Business Solutions are incorporated into the Fleet Sales channels

2.      Work directly with GM Fleet Account stakeholders to provide Key Account Management, driving customer success, retention, and growth of our large fleet account customers

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of contract employees who partner cross-functionally with GM Fleet, the Digital Business Field team, as well as the OnStar Fleet Account stakeholders in the execution of sales initiatives that drive profitability and growth. You will be responsible for helping set the strategic direction, analyzing the performance of the team, and executing initiatives to grow the Fleet & Business Solutions digital subscription business, including OnStar Safety Services, OnStar Vehicle Insights and Connected Vehicle Data. The position requires strategic thinking, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, develop strong business relationships with dealers and work cross-functionally to drive Fleet & Business Solutions digital subscription sales growth within our GM dealer network and Large Fleet customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and providing tools to the GM Fleet and DBT Field teams, to help drive regional performance of:

    • Fleet objectives and key results including revenue, subscriber volumes and ARPU for OnStar Safety Services and OnStar Vehicle Insights

    • Large fleet customers penetration through effective account management activities, supporting their business success through OnStar and Connected products and Services. 

  • Outline and oversee measurement strategy, tracking and results delivery through team and individual scorecards

  • Collaborate on the development, execution and distribution of Key Account, Field, and Dealer reports

  • Drive subscription sales by developing and executing exciting programs and Go-to-Market strategies and tactics including but not limited to: monthly sales priorities, clear objectives, supporting sales material, incentive planning, forecasting and execution

  • Manage relationships with key partners – GM Fleet, DBT Field team, OnStar Fleet Account stakeholders, Dealers, suppliers, US/CA/MX regional partners, and other cross-functional teams as needed

  • Presentation preparation and delivery, as well as host and facilitate key meetings

  • Coach and lead a team of contract employees to deliver business objectives


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales or marketing

  • Professional sales experience, B2B and/or subscription sales an asset (3+ years)

  • Proven experience driving dealer performance though dealer field experience (3+ years)

  • Leadership skills to manage in a complex environment

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, PPT, Excel) and other GM applications

  • Experience developing and utilizing analytics to derive actionable insights and drive performance

  • Ability to resolve issues under tight deadlines

  • Results driven mentality

  • Ability to motivate and inspire cross functional teams to meet common business goals

  • Ability to build relationships and work through challenges with partners

  • Ability to travel monthly

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's Degree

  • Understanding of key Sales & Marketing components (i.e KPIs, 4Ps, test-and-learn, etc.)

  • Understanding of subscription business models

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to execute on data-driven insights
