Manufacturing Engineer - Grand Rapids



  • Ensure all manufacturing technical documentation is up to date.
  • Provide technical direction and oversight of internal resources and external vendor resources.
  • Assist team members in problem solving and improving overall equipment efficiency.
  • Provide day-to-day support of manufacturing operations and maintenance.
  • Work with cross functional team members to resolve issues related to quality, process, and equipment.
  • Participate in identifying and resolving safety and ergonomics issues.
  • Facilitate and or train team members and maintenance personnel.  Develop training manuals as needed.
  • Participate in planning and coordination activities to ensure all project tasks are completed within prescribed time frame and budget parameters.
  • Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills through concise verbal and written communications while working constructively with all functional groups and team members.

Additional Description


  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Working knowledge of high-volume precision CNC manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of high-volume precision grinding and machining.
  • Must be flexible with ability to change direction and handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Willing to work weekends and flexibility to work any shift
  • Must be proficient with computer- based office and engineering software, including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.


  • Working knowledge of GD&T as applied to product prints.
  • Experience in valvetrain, injector, bearing, spool valve or other precision machined components
