Manufacturing Third Party IT Security Analyst

Description

This is a Hybrid position within our IT Organization. The role will allow employees to work remotely, but will also require onsite work based on business needs. The selected candidate will be expected to live a commutable distance to the innovation center they are selected for. Relocation will be provided as needed.

About the Team

Our Manufacturing Information Technology team delivers a wide-ranging suite of applications and systems vital to the manufacturing of electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, military vehicles, alternative and conventional fuel vehicles. These Manufacturing IT products incorporate cutting-edge technologies such as mission-critical real-time manufacturing execution system, machine vision, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, business intelligence, analytics, mobility, networking, machine automation, and telephony. About the Role

As a Third Party IT Security Analyst you will be joining the Manufacturing Information Technology Business Team who builds strong partnerships with our Global Manufacturing business community to realizing the transformation to a future of Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion and strengthening GM Manufacturing’s competitive advantage.

The Third Party IT Security Analyst will be responsible to analyze risk exposure of existing and planned Manufacturing Data Sharing with Third Parties as well as the cybersecurity risks associated with cyber-physical machinery, equipment, software, and third-party services being introduced into our Manufacturing ecosystem. Your role will include advising stakeholders of the information security and legal protections required to be implemented to protect GM from cyber threats, prevent disruption of business operations, and comply with privacy regulations.

You will also act as a liaison with other corporate security, IT architecture, IT solution delivery, purchasing, and business organizations to assist in compliance to Manufacturing Data Protection & Security guidelines and governing corporate Information Security Policies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience

  • Proficient in cybersecurity risk assessment methodologies

  • Understanding of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework

  • Comfortable working independently, multi-task, and manage multiple initiatives without direct supervision

  • Ability to organize, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work within a team and individual setting

  • Effective interpersonal skills with ability to lead cross functional teams and to positively influence and motivate other team members

  • Proficient in collaboration, written and oral communications, and demonstrate analytical capability

  • Planning, negotiation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to see other people's points of view and respectfully receive feedback

  • Excellent English writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar delivering clear, concise, and grammatically correct written communications

  • Effective verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Skilled use of different language styles that appeal to various target audiences

  • High degree of professionalism and integrity

  • Highly creative, imaginative, and curious about stakeholder solutions

  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them to IT functional and non-functional requirements

  • Experience documenting business processes using industry best practices and standard tools (flowcharts, process models)

  • Experience eliciting, writing, and managing product features, user requirements and use stories along with detailed acceptance criteria and test cases

  • Knowledgeable of MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or technical degree

  • CTPRP (Certified Third-Party Risk Professional) Certified

  • CRISC (Certified Risk Information Security Certification) Certified

  • PMP Certified and/or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certificate

  • Understanding of Manufacturing processes

  • Work experience with IT requirements tools (Microsoft TFS, Microsoft Azure DevOps)

  • Work experience with SAFe Agile IT development methodologies
