Mechanical Project Engineer


Our Manufacturing Innovation team is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our group in developing creative solutions to today’s manufacturing challenges. The team leverages leading edge technologies to develop process and automation solutions that deliver world class levels of manufacturing performance. Team members will lead the development of projects from ideation through to commercialization.

In this role your responsibilities will be of a technical nature with decisions made within the limits of general practices, policies and standards. Your work will involve complex manufacturing problems including the need to root cause and follow issues to resolve.

Job Responsibilities:

  • You will analyze and implement machinery designs for the best method for manufacturing processes, identifying and evaluating long-term strategic technologies
  • Works with Engineers, Designers and Partners to develop concepts, propose and evaluate the processes for equipment
  • Creates project specifications and quotation documentation
  • Create technical specifications for new technology and lead the Factory Acceptance tests and sign offs
  • You may evaluate or monitor expenditures for processes and/or equipment
  • Work with vendors to implement design builds and equipment installations
  • Plan sustainment and improvement activities on a 5-year cycle


  • Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years in an engineering role 
  • Troubleshooting of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
  • Large scale project management 
  • Proven ability to coach, guide and teach other team members
  • Primary area of support will be die casting, die casting or press experience preferred
