Security Architect


Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively.  The employee’s role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired.

This position requires an employee to be onsite once every 2 weeks.

Who You Are

This Architect system engineer role requires a quick learner with strong foundation in multiple technologies and a wide range of skills including but not limited to Java coding, system design, middle-ware, and agile methodologies. The person in this role must be results driven and know how to get things done in a fast paced highly complex environment. Creativity, drive, initiative and organizational agility are imperative to success.

What You Need

Applicants must have adequate Java skills along with the following technical skills and experience:

  • 4-year College or higher degree preferably in computer science, software engineering, information systems, mathematics, data analytics or statistics or equivalent experience

  • At least 6+ years relevant work experience

  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) delivering production components in a business-critical software environment

  • Working knowledge with WebLogic Scripting Tool (WLST); WebLogic administration concepts; source control software (SVN, Git or TFS)

  • Solid understanding with CI/CD Technologies / Best Practices (Artifactory, Black Duck, Chef, CARA, SonarQube and Jenkins, Build pipelines, GitFlow, etc.)

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as PCF

  • Experience Linux/Unix shell scripting and/or Python

  • Experience delivering Java / JEE Business Solutions

  • Experience SQL/Oracle

  • Should be able to build and run JUnit Tests

  • Some experience with web technologies

  • Experience with monitoring tools such as SiteScope and OEM

  • Experience with Groovy, Kubernetes or Docker containers is a plus

  • Experience using server VMs running in VMware

Additional Description

What Would Be Even Better

  • Experience with fire walls, load balancers, and other networking items as related to setting up call flows, or triaging a call flow, or reconfiguring a call flow

  • CISSP certified

  • Passionate about security in a DevSecOps model

  • Strong CCMS application integration knowledge
