Senior Process Engineer - Casting Equipment


The Sr. Process Engineer is an Individual contributor with recognized expertise is responsible for tasks and work you're doing throughout the entire vehicle development lifecycle including requirements definition, systems design and implementation, testing, and problem resolution.

As a process engineer working on our ME team in Bedford; you will work with others outside our team to develop world class production casting equipment systems.  You will develop requirements and specifications that will be used to assist in purchasing equipment from OEM’s.  You will work with internal and external engineering resources to develop the designs and processes used to produce the various castings.  You will assist in the project management and developing the installation plans and timing required to integrate the systems into the plant.  As the equipment is being built, you will develop and acquire key documentation, prints and spare part information needed to support the long-term manufacturing process.  After equipment installation activities are completed, you will assist in try-out and throughput improvement activities to optimize the systems.

Additional Description

  • 2+ years of professional engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of industrial manufacturing plant floor support [maintenance or engineering]
  • Experience in Project Management software [ MS Project, Azure DevOps]
  • Proven ability to utilize mechanical and electrical prints to evaluate equipment designs and troubleshoot
  • Understanding of engineering theory and principles of equipment design.
  • Ability to support multiple shifts on rare occasion [<10% of time]
  • Mid level proficiency in industrial safety processes
  • Bachelors Degree in engineering or equivalent experience

Preferred Experiences

  • Controls background with experience in PLC and robot programming
  • Mid level proficiency with industrial hydraulics, pneumatics and lubrication
  • Experience in casting processes and equipment
  • PMP certification
  • 2D A-Cad  or 3D Solidworks / UG software capability
  • Direct Experience successfully launching a product in an industrial environment
  • Problem solving experience with Practical Problem Solving, 7-Diamonds, Red-X
