Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Define Roadmap,  End to End Solution and Systems Architecture for FLEET/Commercial platform.

  • Lead modernization architecture of OVI as platform and Commercial solutions.

  • Responsible for leading the definition of solution architectures which includes evaluation, selection and integration of necessary technical components to create solution designs that support the defined functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Collaborate with Domain architects and other system architects to define a solution

  • Define, design and deliver cloud architecture for enterprise applications hosted on cloud or built natively  and integrate with legacy/on-premises systems.

  • Collaborate with the application, data, and infrastructure architects on defining, designing and delivering technical architectures and design patterns

  • Analyze the current business and IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommends solutions for improvement, that may include PCF cloud based microservice architecture.

  • Responsible for leading the definition of current and future state solution architectures which includes evaluation, selection and integration of necessary technical components to create solution designs that support the defined functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Introduce and accelerate adoption of new technologies and methodologies to support technology transformation initiatives

  • Ensures that designed or reviewed solutions conform to architectural requirements such as scalability, maintainability, reliability, extensibility, usability and security.

  • The architect will look at solutions across domains to ensure consistent alignment of technical solutions with the business goals and objectives of the supported unit. The architect provides industry leading technical direction and mentorship to various project teams to ensure appropriate and cost effective application of GM approved technologies.

  • Ensure appropriate and effective data integration across multiple applications.

  • Provides guidance, coaching and/or training to others as appropriate. Holds themselves and others accountable for demonstrating GMs values and cultural behaviors.

  • Follows SaFe Agile Architectural principals.

  • Participate in Program Increment (PI) Planning and Pre- and Post-PI Planning and System and Solution Demos

  • Work with portfolio stakeholders, notably the Enterprise Architect, to develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of enabler epics.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or applicable field of study

  • 7+ years’ experience as a Systems/Solutions/Enterprise Architect developing Enterprise Solutions.

  • Experience working with large scale commercial customers which includes FMC's and TSP's.

  • Experience with API Gateway, Microsoft Azure, OAuth 2.0, Microservices and Event Driven Architectures

  • Expert level knowledge of Systems Integration and High Availability Architectures

  • Knowledge in Enterprise Security, DNS, TLS, OCSP, Certificate management and Cryptography.
